Michaelk is a first-year Information Technology student in the School of Infocomm Technology, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore.
He is very disappointed that he is probably the only student in his polytechnic who uses Linux for daily computing, work and leisure on his notebook PC. He would be happy to meet other Linux users in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
Additionally, Michael finds the lack of any modules which cover *nix and Linux system administration in detail in the Information Technology course disturbing, due to the vast presence of Linux and *nix systems in the IT industry. He believes that equipping students with *nix/Linux skills will greatly enhance the employment value of graduates. In the meantime, he builds up his Linux system administration skills on his own.
Michael is also the maintainer of http://linux6400.wordpress.com, which contains guides and useful information for Linux systems on Dell Inspiron 6400/E1505 laptop.

Hello Michael,
I am promoting a talk targetted at students like you. Would you be interested to attend? And may I know if there are other like minded students like you in NP?

Hello Michael!
I don’t want to spam you, since you’re also the guy behind linux6400 – I trust you’ve received the invite to check out Software Freedom Day ‘09?
Spread the news, and good luck with OSS in NP – my brother still studies there, I might drop by
Cheers!
